V8 + snow + donuts did not do my friend favors in his 85 Regal this am...

I wonder what his tire pressure was starting out.

Doing donuts and spinning the tires of 7.5in rear equipped GM cars is not advised due to C-clip retainers. Lucky he didn't lose an axle.

the only way to get these cars to move is with winter tires...

No doubt about that, it's just that I've seen a fair share of videos on "the internets" where Americans drive on snow without proper tyres :) So this made me happy.

if he can pick up an 8.5 in rear from a Grand National or Hurst Olds, it's a bolt under.

nice, I am not sure how long he is keeping it. He bought it for his now ex-girlfriend to be her first car (at 37yo haha) but that is over. He has 2 1970-71 Chevy trucks, a 48 Jeep, a Cherokee, I think still a mail Jeep and no off street parking, so this may be gone soon, but I will tell him if he keeps it

if it's a good rust free example, I'd recommend picking it up from him. These G-bodies seem to be becoming popular.
